Lara grew up in Galway, Ireland and has had a keen interest in Photography for many years, but only started to develop her skills as a Photographer after moving to Dublin in 2010.
The real kick start was her decision to take a photograph every day for a year of her life. She completed the project in 2010 and produced a book of the photographs as a keepsake. You can view a sample of the book below.
After looking into the Dublin Photography scene she joined the Dublin Camera Club where she has had continued success with her photographs in competition.
In 2011 Lara had 4 photographs on display in the Dublin Camera Club’s Annual Exhibition held in Pearse Street Library. One of which was an award winning nature shot.
Also in 2011 Lara completed a Photography course awarding her a Distinction in FETAC L6 Digital Photography.
In fact there were many other achievements in 2011 such as:
Photographs sold to national newspapers.A photograph picked up and run in an American magazine.
A photography selected and printed in the Today FM’s ‘Us’ book.
Photographs sold at the annual ‘Peoples Photography’ exhibition, Dublin
Up until now Lara has focused more on Landscape photography but has recently become very interested in outdoor Portraiture, and is looking to develop her skills in that area.
